Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

is a sport that can be enjoyed through a lifetime, but also builds character. BJJ was a key driver in helping me maintain focus on my goals and have the confidence to pursue them as I grew into an adult. I would love the opportunity to share this positivity in my life with others. The kid’s program will instill important character traits and values, including:
· Discipline · Leadership skills · Responsibility · Respect · Confidence · Academic Excellence · Social Skills

Physical fitness

is important for a well balanced lifestyle. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a fun and positive environment to achieve this while improving coordination, motor skills, agility and flexibility. Most of all, your child will be participating in a sport in which he or she will be challenged, will have fun, and can build lasting friendships.

The purpose is not to promote violence

The goal is to give your child the courage, confidence, and effective self defense techniques to defend only in necessary situations. kids-area2

Classes offered at RBJJ/MMA for kids

Advanced:

Students will learn more complex techniques in order to progress to the next level. Students will be able to “roll” (live sparring) with their teammates in order to build their game and strategies. This can be the most exciting part of training because it involves attempting to submit your training partners as they resist and counter act with their own moves. These training sessions are more intense than the BJJ beginner classes and are great not only for an excellent workout but to test yourself both physically and mentally. The advanced class also includes competition preparation, which focuses on sport Jiu Jitsu. Competition Jiu Jitsu is designed to prepare students physically and mentally and includes higher level sparring and drilling.
